Welcome to my portfolio!

I am a multimedia creative eager to take my next steps in the media and broadcast industry. After a very strong start, I am eager to apply my talents to a radio team that shares my passions for language and music. As someone who is both artistic and ambitious yet organised and considered, I’ve held a range of creative and production roles in media: from theatre and High-End TV to magazine journalism and international live radio. This means I have gathered a wide variety of skills and talents making me a problem solver and all-rounder. I love to push myself, and I’m always teaching myself new technical skills to ensure I’m doing my job to the best possible standard. Whether it’s precise audio editing in Adobe Audition, detailed academic level research, or content scheduling, I’ll get it done! After time in the television production industry last year and several years in freelance radio and podcast production, I’m eager to put my talents full time into a team where I can make a difference.

Barney's Daily Album Reviews

Arca - Arca - Joe Holley/Joseph Marcus - Vinyl Resting Place

Singer and artist Joe Holley AKA Joseph Marcus joins the boys in the studio today to talk about potentially the most wild album I've ever listened to. Arca's self titled album is an experimental, psychedelic experience full of funky noises and whip cracks. Listen along to hear us discuss the experimental genre, how Arca impacts Joe's music and an absolutely ridiculous crisp chat including a new special segment on dips. Listen to Joseph Marcus on all music streaming platforms now!

FKA twigs - LP1 - Cam Utley - Vinyl Resting Place

The boys are back in town to deliver a delicious treat of a podcast straight into your ears. Is that a good description opener? I don't know, but I've typed it now so here we are. DJ and NHS worker Cam Utley joins Dapo and Barney in the studio today to talk all things FKA twigs, specifically her incredible album LP1. Listen along as the boys unpack the album's inspired production, Dapo reveals his favourite Toy Story character and some questionable falsettos are sung. Thanks for listening!

Action Bronson - Blue Chips 2 - Jarrod Nelson-Robb/Renelle 893 - Vinyl Resting Place

Rapper Jarrod Nelson AKA Renelle 893 joins us in the Vinyl Resting Place studio today to talk all things Action Bronson. Listen along as we talk about one of the most characterful rappers on the scene, discussing his cartoonish lyrics, Replay by Iyaz and Jarrod's new album, Black Currents. Also, Barney makes a bad first impression due to unwarranted crisp aggression. Thanks for listening!

Saint Michael Special - Vinyl Resting Place

Today Barney and Dapo are joined in the studio by Saint Michael, one of U.K's biggest up and coming indie rock groups. Listen to what is undeniably our most chaotic episode so far as the boys talk us through the ranking of Nobby's Nuts, how to sneak death metal into your songs, and an insight into making a unique sound from an incredible variety of influences. A huge thanks to these three comedians taking the time to chat to us, give them a check out and make sure to see them when they're live!

Lady Gaga - Chromatica - Em Humble - Vinyl Resting Place

This week, comedian and artist Em Humble joins Barney and Dapo in the studio to discuss all things Lady Gaga! Tune in to hear us talk about the fantastic Chromatica, a beautiful mix of orchestra, meaningful lyrics and cyberpunk pop. Also hear our thoughts on one of the biggest icons of modern times, the state of the Oreo industry, and listen in horror as Barney goes over to the dark side in the ongoing crisp debate.

Mac Miller - K.I.D.S - Devin Arden - Vinyl Resting Place

It's the whole Vinyl Resting Place family today as our artist and friend Devin Arden comes to visit! Listen to us discuss Mac Miller's K.I.D.S with a man who certainly knows his stuff about the 2010 rap scene but has no tastebuds and picks the worst packet of crisps on the market. The boys find out about 2014 Forest Hill Drive, why Mac had to be bad to begin with, and Barney continues to know nothing about rap but occasionally brings some banter.

John Mayer - Where the Light Is - Maya Delilah - Vinyl Resting Place

Rising popstar and guitar genius Maya Delilah joins the boys on Vinyl Resting Place today to discuss John Mayer's live album, Where the Light Is. Listen in to hear us question the point of live albums, talk about the difficulty of not losing your sound, and find out what we described as 'the crisp of Depop'. Also, has Dapo ever seen Lilo and Stitch? A huge thanks to Maya for coming on, make sure you check her out on Spotify
